With an illustrious career in the envelope manufacturing industry spanning over 40 years, Business Development Manager Brett Hopper had decided the time has come to retire.
Brett joined the Encore Group in February 2019 having been asked to add further strength and depth to the team due to his significant background in envelope manufacturing.
With considerable experience in supplying the public sector, particularly local authorities, Brett’s knowledge, experience, and contacts were fundamental in developing this particular area of Encore’s business.
Brett said, “What I’ve enjoyed first and foremost are the people I have had the pleasure of working with, who have been very welcoming to me, making my last three working years a very happy experience. I have also enjoyed making full use of Encore’s superb production facilities.”
Having worked for an impressive near 50 years in total, Brett is looking forward to doing more of the things he loves, such as spending time with family, walking in the Yorkshire Dales with his wife and cocker spaniel, playing golf and crown green bowls and watching more live sport. Brett is also keen on giving back to his local community and is looking to undertake voluntary work.
It’s fair to say that the industry has undoubtedly benefitted from Brett’s commitment, enthusiasm, and passion. Brett was a Director at three envelope manufacturing and printing businesses for 30 years and was on the board of the EMSA (The Envelope Manufacturers and Suppliers Association), including holding the position of Chairman in 2017.
