Mental Health Awareness Week
Now in its 19th year, Mental Health Awareness Week will take place from May 18th to 24th and since 2001 the campaign has helped millions talk about their mental health.
Founded by the Mental Health Foundation, the movement drives forward change and has raised awareness of topics like body image, stress and relationships.
Here at Encore, our employees are at the heart of our company. We are a close-knit team and are always there to help each other. Supporting the mental health and wellbeing of our members of staff across all our sites is incredibly important, especially in these trying times, and this is why we’re getting involved with Mental Health Awareness Week.
This year’s theme for the campaign is kindness and one thing that we’ve seen within our team and across the country is that kindness is fundamental in uncertain times.
As Amelia Earhart once said: “A single act of kindness throws out roots in all directions, and the roots spring up and make new trees,” and we couldn’t agree more. By being kind to someone you can help to reduce stress and even improve your own emotional wellbeing.
We’ll be sharing some top tips to help boost your mental health, including exercise and healthy eating ideas, and we’ll be inspiring you by revealing different ways you could show an act of kindness to someone. So make sure you follow @EncorePackaging and @EncoreEnvelopes on Twitter to stay up to date throughout the week.
